I know its usually not a good idea to broadcast this, but where does everyone have your ignition kill switch mounted?
I just got a steering column with a cruise control lever/button, and i don't have CC... so i thought that button would be good, but my mechanic tells me its not a good enough switch for that to work.. and we'd have to take the column apart to put one in... and considering we JUST put that column in... neither of us are too eager to take it back out...
Is this accurate? or is there an easy way to wire it in to make a seamless kill switch? otherwise, where do you have yours mounted? pics?
I knew someone who had it connected to the cigarette lighter. Push the lighter in, go. Pull it out, no go. Just have to make it so the lighter doesn't operate as usual. Might be annoying if it kept popping up every minute or so... I like this idea since it's something nobody'd ever think to check. However this won't do if you want to use the socket to power anything (radar detector, G-tech Pro, etc)
