Default I Need Help Really Bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t know what happened but I had the console and dash a part working on putting a new AC/Heater control in. I got it in and the fan is now working on all speeds. I then started working on the vacuum trying to get everything right I also had the center gage assy. out. I had started the car several times checking vacuum, I found a leak and fixed that. When I went to start it again I had NO power at all nothing. Just like the battery was out. I guess and HOPE that there is some type of master fuse some where. Can someone PLEASE HELP!!
Thanks

Don't know what year your working on might help. If you didn't disconnect the battery you may have wacked a fusible link. Ask me how I know. Check your new control against the old one. Count the number of terminals on the selector sw. There are two diffrent switches out there. I found this out on my 77
The fan is supposed to run on the slow speed with the ignition on.

I had the same thing happen to me when I had my console apart. Got it all back together, went to start it and...Nothing. It turned out to be the negative battery cable. It was totally unrelated to what I was working on. The cable was corroded almost in half.
Don't forget the basic stuff. Check battery terminals, where the negative bolts to the frame and the starter connections.

I have a 77 and I did check the battery cables not there. I did pull the duck work out and maybe there is some wires that came apart that goes to the key switch. Anyone know if there is a plug there. I did not smell anything like wires burning. I un did the radio, gage assy and pulled the duck

Do any of your gauges, lights or accessories come on?
Or is it the same symptom as if your battery was disconnected.

The neutral safety switch would be the issue if you turn the key and nothing happens from the starter. But I think you would still have power to run some other accessories. Maybe I need a correction on that point. If you dont have power to anything at all, then you need to get a volt meter and start looking at power from the battery, then look at the positive lead to the starter, etc.

kdf is right if neutral switch is disconnected or not activated, you will still have accessory power

You need to start at your battery.
Think you may have killed battery while you were working on car?

Check battery voltage and check cables throughout. If battery voltage is good, start check with fusible links (at starter) then battery cables, then check downstream of battery (cables, connections,etc..)

I have checked the battery its fine. I have a quick disconect on the battery I thought at first that I had cut power there because I was doing that while working.

What year? Do you have a horn relay to check voltage at? If you don't have voltage at fuse block I would imagine a fusible link (as mentioned earlier) or a crummy connection at starter. Positive leg goes to starter then gets distributed from there, at least on the older ones.

I have been searching and someone posted that a 77 like mine has 4 fusible links. Where are they? I also looked in the manual and it shows a anti theft relay if this come un pluged I wonder if it would kill all power?

The fusible links are built into the wiring harnesses. There are sections of some high-current lines that have the wire reduced a gage size (10awg to 12 awg, for example). This was a cheap way for GM to put in some "safety" systems in the wiring without adding much cost. Shorts in those lines shouldn't happen unless someone is working there WITH THE BATTERY STILL "HOT". {sorry}

77 had fusible links at the starter and outside the bulkhead connection.Don't know of any wires other than at the steering column that may have caused this.

I just went through an electrical nightmare with my 76. Had to replace the dash harness. Long story short, my short was in the wire from the alternator to the fuse box. The electrical path to check is:
battery--->starter---->alternator---->fuse box---->dash and rear harness.
