I used a floor jack to support the lower control arm, removed the shock, then I unbolted the lower control arm from frame and slowly lowered until the spring released and I could fish out the spring. Then separate lower ball joint from the spindle and you are done. The floor jack method seemed to be a better way to get the spring out versus using a spring compressor. Depends on what works best for you.
The fan shroud will have to be moved out of the way to access the front bolts.......
You can remove the shroud if you want to. I didn't.
I knocked the two bolts out of the frame using my airhammer. It is a little tricky. I protected the end of the bolt with a nut, held an oversized socket with long extension on the bolt and hit the other end with the air hammer...bingo, out in 10 seconds. Had to use the socket extention because there is no way to fit the air hammer in there with the waterpump installed.
