The reason I asked is the engine won't start. We're getting spark to all cylinders. Cylinders 3,4,7 & 8 are getting fludded with fuel and 1,2,5 & 6 look dry according to the spark plugs. I thought maybe if each throttle body was tied to particular cylinders we would be able to determine which one of the throttle bodies was bad (if the probblem is with the throttle bodies), since there seems to be a pattern as to which cylinders are getting fludded. Do you have any suggestions for this type of problem?
My guess is either the fuel is contaminated or the timing is off. Air+fuel+spark = Boom! Spray some carburetor cleaner in the throttle body and try again.
Hi,
From what I have read, the right throttle body feeds the left cylinder head and the left feeds the right. I think that's where the crossfire name came from.
Good luck,
Tom
