I have headmans on mine and I use NGK plugs. These are slightly shorter than the delco plugs and give you that little bit more clearance with the leads.

I am currently away but if you like when I get back in a couple of days I can post the NGK part no here. They seem to be running perfectly on my block. I am running standard 350 block with mild cam, edelbrock intake and holley carb. Plugs are not overheating as on every change they are the perfect light tan colour and not burning out or glazing.

Hope this helps!

My brother has the side pipes and he has them routed over the top, but it looks like there is enough space to route them underneath.
However here is a note to you: I had an incredibly difficult time changing his plugs 3 weeks ago. I had to use an open ended wrench in a couple of places. You might want to consider header plugs (they're shorter).

Good luck.
I just changed my plugs and about 3 were hard to get to and like you I had to use a wrench to turn the socket.

Hi

This was on my 68 BB cylinder 1 & 3.

I now have the original 68 BB shielded ignition wires installed which have thin 45 deg boots and keep a gap to the headers.
Have installed heat shields to the headers in this 2 positions.( head gasket material ).

I tried this ignitor extensions and they didn't work for me as they started to spark across when the engine and bay became hot.
I could even feel this sparking to earth during driving. It doesn't make sense because they are out of ceramic, but they sparked all over, nice blue lightnings.

I have problems removing cylinder 1 ignitor plug. It breaks the ceramic when removing it. Installing is OK. This is when using a socket.

I have a cool "sidepipe badge" on the inside of my left ankle that states otherwise. I do agree however that the sterling ceramic coated Hookers are the way to go!!
