Default emergency brake console

I am trying to remove my brake console , All I seeare 4 screws 2 on each side. I have removed these, and it still seems to be supported. What is the trick???

some also have a bolt. it is right in front of the glove box. go at it from the battery box. it is a pita to get to.

There is another screw supporting it from behind. I believe it is accessed from the storage compartment behind the passenger seat. The is a little gap in there. Reach in and loosen the nut. Something tells me it's a 7/16 nut, but I can't remmeber for sure.

BB68 is right. The bolt head is a 7/16" hex. Remove the pull-out bin from the jack storage compartment; get a 7/16" open end wrench and try to fit your hand/wrench in there to work it out a little at a time. If you get it out OK...don't put it back in [like it was]. Cut the head off the bolt and round off the upper shank. Install this "stud" back in the rear console and push the rounded-off stud through the carpet and into the mounting hole. Then put the housing back in place and put the screws in. You'll never have the same problem again.
