Motor Mount Replacement Question?

Help....

I have my motor out. Ordered replacement motor mounts for a 77 corvette. When I fit them to the frame, they 'do not' fit snug. Should they? Seems to have some side to side play. Is there supposed to be a shim in between?

I trashed my old ones (mistake I know)...so I can't compare. Lesson learned.

How much play are do you have?

I'm guessing about 1/4 inch?

I installed a set of Moroso solids on my 77 tonight...I actually had to spread the ears apart a bit to get them to fit on the frame horns.

1/4" is too much....send them back. Mount should slip easily over the frame horn...or fit snug. A tiny bit of play is OK cause the ears will crush some when you torque the bolt.
