Interior dye REMOVAL?

The interior in my '73 was originally medium saddle, but at some point in its dubious history was dyed black. Does anyone have experience at removing interior dye, especially from seatbelts and the vinyl underdash? My fear is that if I successfully remove it, I may find reasons to cover it back up. :)

This may not be an option for the seatbelts, but I would redye with several light coats of the medium saddle. I don't think you will be able to remove the previous owner's work without damaging the pieces.

Good question. I would also like to know the answer to this. Mine was saddle
and its dyed red. I was wondering how to get it back to saddle. Sorry I can't help

Lacquer thinner will remove it from the vinyl but will take alot of patients and care. I have never seen seat belts dyed successfully, so I doubt that the seat belts were dyed. If they were I would not try to remove it. Hope this is of some help.
