Well, I can't see how there is anymore air in the system yet it still over heats. I'm gonna pull the pump off and take it back. Then I'm gonna **** and moan until they give me a better model without paying more money, since I'm in there all the time that should not be a problem.

Tell them you need the SUPERCALAFRAGILISTICEXPEALADOSHISH
water pump. You have to be the most snake bitten person on
the planet.
Ya, and there are not even any snakes around here... Just hypothetical ones.
I'm gonna quote you on that at the parts store tommorow, I will say that I was told to get a supercalafragalisticexpealdoshish water pump and see what they say.
I just installed an EMP Stewart, Stage I, Hi-flow water pump and it seems to cool the engine down much better than the stock one. It runs $89, 99 on ecklers.com but you can get it from their web site for $74, 99: http://www.stewartcomponents.net/Mer...y_Code=ChevyS1
Mkay well I pulled it off again and took it back. Told em it was a load of "cow crap" and that I wanted a better one. They didn't have any so I was pissen and moanen. Then I left went to napa and got another one. I think it works, got it in started it up kept toping off the fluid with the cap off and then put the cap on drove it around the block and the temps were fine. Horray for a happy ending... Or did I speak to soon?

What did you do go to china or as I like to call it auto zone for the
first pump.
Well, now that I have that issue sorted out I'm gonna yank the trans again. I got a full gasket/seal set from the local trans shop. I just have to pick it up tommorow.

Justin are "you" going to take your auto trans apart and replace all the seals and gaskets? Thats a pretty detailed job,I'll be interested to see how you like working on the guts of an auto.Good Luck
Here is the water pump that I use on my yellow '68. It's aluminum and 35% more flow!! It is chinese Pro Comp but it works extremely well and does have LIFETIME warranty..

Yup, it will be an adventure. Do you dare me to get into my well I'm at it mood and just replace everything? ie. rebuild that sucker?
It was actually a new one, not a reman. On another note I just hit 60 in 4.86 seconds. At least that is what my accelerometer says and so far it has proved to be accurate in cars that I looked up the 0-60 after testing them.
