Will late model brackets and accessories ( 2003 or newer Suv type) fit my early small block(81 vette with procomp heads) ? If not what is the newest set up anyone has tried?

I doubt it. Some have used serp. system from the 90's truck and some have used the C4. The problem you run into is hood clearence. I have used the s series pickup/ blazer with an aftermarket L88 hood.

Late model trucks and SUVs running generation 1 style small blocks or V6, typically use long water pumps so the brackets etc, for the serp setup would require you to switch to a long waterpump and electric fans. Its been done, but there are possible hood clearance issues too. Several have done Camaro/TA setup (up to about 92), still long pump, but better fit. I have a C4 setup, Corvette reverse flow short pump, breathless smog pump eliminator, electric fans required, possible alternator/hood clearance issues for your stock hood. There are some others on the forum who have C4 setups too.

Like 71rdster said your best bet for a serpentine set up is from an f body around late 80's. I got my complete set up from a doner 89 camaro with a V-8 . The only mod to the engine was to have a machine shop drill a hole into the passengers side head to accomodate all the mounting holes. I have heard you dont need the extra hole but a shop only charged me $15 dollars to do the work and when you put that bolt in you seal it and 2 years I have had no leaks.

I've got the late 80s/early 90s F-body setup, currently under installation. There is a late 80s/early 90s pickup waterpump that fits perfectly and has the threaded bung for the heater hose. Hood clearance isn't a problem.
