If anyone can help me. I am trying to find the correct spark plug and gap. I have a 72 454 which I placed on a Torker 2 intake, a Holley 650 double pumper and a HeI system to upgrade from stock. I have been told to open up the gap from the standard .035 because of the increased spark and also to go to a cooler plug. I put in a set of Delco R44t as per book with .035 gap. It runs great for the first 50 or so miles then engine starts to run rough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pull the plugs and look at them. If they are fouled, you may need a hotter plug.
Keep the gap at .035". This is not going to make or break the plug selection. It is all about heat range and getting that right. Too cold and they will foul.
