Sorry Lars, you are wrong on this one. I have replaced the secondary jets in a Quadrajet as I indicated above in this thread. They are not cast in. They are pressed in and will pop out pretty easy. You can rob an old Quadrajet and take the good secondary jets out and press them into the Quadrajet that needs them. You must be careful, as these parts are somewhat fragile, but I have done it.
I called Henry yesterday and ordered a couple secondary jets / restrictors ($5 each) from him at Ole's Carbs out of San Bruno, CA. Apparently he has a source for the original jets. Will let you know how they look....will take some pictures and post.
Since it is a numbers matching carb I will try the fix. I will update the post with some pics once I complete it. Also let you know how easy or difficult it is to remove the mangled jets and replace the new ones.
I am keeping my fingers crossed. It is tough not driving the car in this weather....
