black smoke... when I floor it
I don't floor it that often, but noticed it recently.
Lars, you tuned everything before, not sure if I want to let anyone else touch it.
I'd adjust it, but not sure what I'm really doing.:o
What's the best solution, print your paper, and try to make it run leaner?

If it just blew black smoke out the first time you've "kicked it" [for some time], chances are it was just a collection of carbon and "crud" in the combustion chamber. If you've done that a few times...and it is still blowing black smoke, you may have a problem with timing, piston rings or your carb.

If it blows black smoke every time you floor it, it's running a tad rich. If it just does it the first time you floor it after have *****-footed it for a while, it's more likely that it's just blowing the soot out of the exhaust system. How to lean it out at WOT depends on which carb you're running...
