Matter of personal opinion...i say yes...have them in both my vette and dakota r/t
made a difference in both, but i have forced ram air in both the vette and truck, so i might have needed the K&N to fit the air in, but IMHO i would go for it. Just my .02
Chris
I agree, put one in my ranger and one in the vette. Its not a miracle product but seemed to help both. And if you plan on keepin the vehicle in question a while, it will pay for itself.
I think so, I've got them on all the cars I maintain. If your wondering about an extreme lid for the 73' there isn't any that are a perfect fit but the 11" one fits pretty good and still seals against the regular K&N for that little bit of extra air filter area.
I just put one in my '77 and I can't tell any difference at all.
BUT, I'm glad I finally have it in there.
If there's any chance at all that it makes my old 350's life a little easier, it's worth it.
Plus, if you're going to have the car for a while, it'll eventually pay for itself.
My $0.02
Yes it is worth it for sure....Just make sure to clean and re-oil every 20k or so.....If you have more than one vehicle....I would try it on one then decide yourself..I have it on all 3 of my cars
I recently saw an small airflow machine (K and N's) which compared a paper air filter to a K and N. The restriction of air on a paper element was alot. K and N's passed alot of air.
Ive never reoiled my K and N filter. I just buy a new one every 10,000 miles which equals about 4 years for my driving of the Vette.
