Read the links for more info. Whoever buys that engine is probably not going to be happy.

Why am I not surprised

It's easy to talk and make fun.. but let's see that '82 run!! How many more years?

I personally can't look at the IP's but I have friends who can
It just takes one phone call..
What are you talking about? That 82 is not even my car. It's my brothers. You have friends who can look up an IP, oh nice. So one of the mods must have given it to you since I did not post anything that was traceable. Only the posts are and the IP is hidden for all but the mods & admins. Not that I care. I do wonder though how you know my last name though as my IP traces back to an @home.nl account. The name is not in it and can not be looked up. Shows what kind of turd you are, if I wanted to post my full name I would have done so myself.

You talk about jealousy, it has nothing to do with it. It's about you bashing that motor on ebay because you have some kind of feeling that you are superior. Then again, you truely are an übermensch, it shows in your posts. And now that you have built up one engine partially yourself, nothing else comes close and is labelled rubbish! Yeah, you're a real class act. if there's one bullsh!tter here on the forum it's you. That I have concluded from reading your posts over all these years.

If you feel the need to expose your whole life and everything you do on the internet, that's your choise. I however do NOT appreciate you posting my last name here. What's next? Are you going to post my address? I want you to remove my name

I removed your last name as you seemed so scared
My full name is in my profile as I have nothing to hide nor am I scared of anybody. I'm not a anonumous coward poster!
The definition of a bs'er is someone not able to back up claims.. I'm a person that has always backed up my claim with results. Live with it.. You can't hide your jeolousy...

Not scared, it's just not done. Scared has nothing to do with it, it's simply a severe lack of decency on your part. So your full name is in your profile, that's your choice. Last time I checked even in the United States you had a right to make your own choices, so I chose not to disclose my last name.

Yeah, I'm so jealous of that ratty interior, spaghetti wiring, scratched up paint POS you call a race car. You couldn't unload it on me if it was free.

You talk about decency??

You turned a serious thread into a personal attack against me without anything to back it up. You criticize my interior etc. on my car (and btw - my car is completely wired with a painless race car harness ). I've never claimed to have a show car nor have I ever claimed to have anything else that I can't back up.. My car is a drag car that accelerates faster than you'll probably ever experience..
I'm always willing to back up everything that I say online. That's why I don't need to hide behind a screen name as I'm not an anonymous coward poster! You make accusations and never back up anything you say..
Go ahead and post a link to any claim that I make that I wouldn't stand up to proving?
If you call on me, tell me what's and I'll prove you the opposite.

You don't believe my HP claim on my old 406? I can have it dynoed at any place you wish and if it performs close to or above the numbers that I've got (+/- 10 SAE corrected HP), you'll pay the dyno pulls and if it's more than that off, I'll pay for it and send you $1000 in addition and pay for your plane ticket to come here to watch the pulls. If you are that sure to call , put your money where your too big mouth is!

Now you'll either not respond or come up with a bunch of lame excuses..

So Olivier is calling on an ebay engine. After the last two engines he had built, I'm sure has a pretty good idea of what he's talking about.
I never noticed him bragging about how fast his car is. I was always under the impression that he was just sharing his excitement, which is a big part of what this forum is all about.

Olivier this may explaine it a little,
“Ignorance is bliss”
Ignorance is a lack of knowledge. Ignorance is sometimes misinterpreted as a synonym of stupidity, and is as thus often taken as an insult.

In many cases ignorance is seen as a pleasant alternative to harsh reality.

Willful ignorance (or vincible ignorance) is a bad faith decision to avoid becoming informed about something so as to avoid having to make undesirable decisions that such information might prompt.
Ignorance is bliss is a phrase that comes from Thomas Gray's poem, "Ode on a Distant Prospect of Eton College" (1742): "Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise."
Wikiquote has a collection of quotations related to:
Ignorance This philosophy-related article is a stub.

BTW, my 434 dynoed at 689 hp and was not tuned in the best it could have been. Not enough $$$ for the dyno time and good enough for the street.

Well, I only re-built the 406 and was HOPING for over 600 HP but ended up with 590 HP (with smaller headers).. The 434 was professionally built by a guy that builds race winning engines.. so I'm pretty sure that he did a good job with that... I only post about hopes or expectations but I don't make claims that I can't back up. I also never made claims on how much the 434 will make.. The builder estimates about 700 HP and that's what I hope for... The main problem that they have is that they don't think that I'm doing things the right way and they just can't stand my success considering that I'm doing things my way... I'm just not into cosmetics but I do have one of the hardest hooking IRS Vettes in the world and once I'll run the spray on the new engine, it won't only be one of the hardest hooking ones, but one of the fastest 1/4 mile IRS Vettes in the world!! That is a prediction and I'll back it up..

What are the specs on the 434? 23 degree heads?? Sounds like fun
What compression?

I hope to pull similar number!

Ok back to the block. RMC V-40 block? What is that? So a stock 400 block is 4.125" bore? Taking it to 4.185" would be 60 over, guess that sounds doable, but I really don't know what I'm talking about. Until I figured out what a RMC V-40 block was, I wouldn't even think about touching it, thing will probably blow up in a couple hundred miles for that price.

The RMC-V40 is a fully automated, CNC-controlled engine machining center that inspects the block and automatically determines the bore size and amount of machining needed to restore the block. It then picks the correct tooling, bores the block and decks it, too.

Hey V-Twin.....

You're the one that appears to have a problem, not Ollie.

If you don't like Olivier's posts.... don't read them.

That's impressive power with 12.2 : 1

I use the same heads.. I don't know what size the runners were ported to, I just know the flow numbers.. What are your flow numbers on your heads?

BTW - interestingly, my best flow came in at .600 lift but only dropping off slightly to .700 lift..

So that's a stock block with good machine work basically? Or claimed to have good machine work anyway. I don't buy it.
