Any ideas. I'm fitting my 72 with a 69 BB style hood. I took the hardware off the old hood and the new one seemed to line up OK. But when I closed the new hood, I can't get it to release. I was able to lift it just enough to hook something around the cable release, and got the passenger side to release. But I CAN'T get the drivers side to let go. I've wiggled, pushed up and down, but it won't release. Unfortunatley, you can't get to it from underneath.
I really don't want to tear something up, just trying to get the hood to release.
Lastly, if I do get it up, what should I adjust, to keep this from happening again?
There is a nice tech article with photos on one of the vendor websites explaining just how to do this...... let me think/search. anybody else? (I will find it in a minute). MJ
Wow! That is a good tip to know. I have had the hood stuck twice and my only solution was to crawl under the car and remove the hardware from the hood. It usually took a long time and was very frustrating. Next time I will be ready. :yesnod:

you mean ....69roadster......you mean you actually have a hood for your car ?
wow....I never would have guessed...... :boxing
Well....it appears my 72 shark is different than the 78 they depict in the article. There is no ruber gromet on the drivers side *^*$&*! What a pain :smash:. I honestly don't see how I could get anything up there from underneath. Jeff, you mentioned an opening if I remove the egg crate grille, where's the opening located once the grille is off?
