What's the best way to stop a split the material that covers the dash before it gets out of hand? I replaced the center console and now notice a split in the material that must have been covered by the old center console, any way I can see it and it bugs me and I'm afraid if I don't do anything it will creep forward and up and over the dash. Does anybody know of a way to STOP the split in it's tracks before it reaches the dash? Can you sow it together? Glue a piece of vinyl over the front and the back? I don't want it to look tacky but i don't want a split dash cover either.

Did a search on the internet and found a vinyl repair kit with cement and vinyl patches. So I'm going to give tha a try.
You can also drill a small hole at the end of the crack to prevent it from travelling any further. Then use the vinyl repair kit. Follow the instructions, in particular doing a few practise patches before attempting your dash repair. Good luck.
