'vert front alignment pins

'vert front alignment pins
Front aligment pins....is there a left and right? I'm aligning up my top and noticed theres a slight curvature to them and the pin is offset in a front to back manner.
Should the pins be installed so its offset to the front or to back?
I'm assuming the offset is part of the adjustment.
Any thoughts and comments are appreciated.
BTW...not pictured in the AIM.

There are few things in life I cannot remember and one of them is left/right on cars. I ordered an outer passengers side tie rod end from one of the vendors (un-named) it was the wrong side. I go to NAPA and buy the same side and it fits...
Left is passengers?
Right is drivers?
