I recently built a new engine for my 73 corvette and am having issues with a very rough idle. A buddy of mine has just gotten a new tool that allows us to shut down each cylinder individually so we can see if all the cylinders are firing correctly. The tool also checks timing, dwell and rpms.
My problem is that this isn't the stock engine that came with the car and i need to know what the timing, dwell, and rpms are supposed to be at.
The specs on the new engine are a 68 block, a federal mogul cam, a rpm performer intake, and a street avenger carb. On the cam i had a machine shop spec out all the parts so i couldn't tell you the specifics, but i know that it isn't a huge lift probably only .05.
If anyone can help me figure out what specs i need it would be greatly appreciated. also the car is a manual.

36 degrees total timing. 30-31 degrees dwell. RPM whatever the engine will idle at reliably, normally 650-750 for mild street cams below 268 advertised duration.
