VB&P is great...give them a call, tell them how you want to drive, and they'll tell you what you need to get there.

You might also want to check out Van Steel's tubular A arms with coil overs. I didnt want a front mono spring getting in the way so went with them. http://www.vansteel.com/index.cfm?fu...&SubGroup=1935

WOW.....do I ever disagree with this post.

You don't have to enter auto-cross competitions every week-end to appreciate the "ride improvement" available in fiberglass springs front and back.

Just to be rid of the "BANG and CRASH" harshness of the stock suspension was worth it alone......even if I were to never push the car in the corners.

That said the flatness with which the car corners and confidence it inspires when you have the more modern equipment is worth every dollar spent.

I have a VB&P 420# rear sprling and a couple front tie rod ends and rest stock... She corners real well adjusting the back spring up and down and nothing is sweeter going sideways around a corner.

i always wanted to redo suspension and will soon as I get to work on it again. i see your issue being a matter of Do ya want to keep it an all original or a driver. if i was lucky enough to have a car as desireable as yers I keep it as close to stock as possible minus a couple goodies. not extreme everything reversible back to stock.

Have Fun and good luck

Bounce?

Not in my case.

It was more like driving a shopping cart it was so STIFF and PUNISHING.

I accept that any suspension that is designed to improve cornering is probably going to ask you to compromise some ride comfort quality but heavy duty coils feel like they have no give and take over the bumps at all until you are at hi-way speed. It's no longer necessary to just SACRIFICE a comfortable in town ride for well controlled high speed handling.

The faster reacting fiberglass rear and front mono springs are simply BETTER and not so limited in ability to deliver both a more compliant ride around town while still giving you great control in high speed situations too.

Krystal's right. I felt a huge difference on the very FIRST TURN I took in my neighborhood!! You don't have to race just to appreciate the handling. Around here, the increased performance helps to avoid the pot holes and bad spots in the road, not to mention navigating around the cell phone piloted mini-vans...
