Yippee!!! got almost everything to make interior presentable
..except the front carpet...so now..I need to make colors match...I need advice on changing the colors. I have red door panels, Saddle seats and dash and rear carpet..no idea what the front carpet is gonna be...I want a charcoal grey color inside...what should i use to do all this...I assume it is different stuff for the carpet as opposed to the door panels seats etc...
tj...
We need more info... What is the exterior color on your car? Do you want the interior parts to be all the same color, or not? If two color interior, vinyl part of the door panels and the seats should be the same and the lighter color; carpeting should be the darker color. Dash panels and cap usually are colored the same as the door vinyl, but don't have to be.
Actually the plan is pretty much all charcoal grey except for a few of the control panels in either black or an aluminum look...at any rate i got colors in mind, I'm just looking to find enfo about products to use...thanks for the SEM tip...Someone else at Carlisle said the same thing and he said ONLY use SEM./..
I'd go with the SEM dyes. You can have the color you need mixed to GM color code specs or to match any sample. You can buy them in small cans of dye (spray with your equipment or Preval spray system) or you can have it put in aerosol can(s). Clean all parts well with detergent, then mild soap, then clear water flush and dry. Light, covering coats (I can't imagine needing more than two unless you are going from red to white). Follow SEM instructions. It will look great when you get done.
