Can someone point me to the Idiots Guide for tuning up my '80 350. I am sure this has been covered numerous times. Don't mean to but I have not done a 'real' tuneup since GM had the hex key adjustment in the distributor (Those were the days !). In places where applicable, part recommendations are appreciated. Previous owner left unused belts and unused Bosch plugs in the car. Comments on Bosch Plugs ???
How's it running? A normal tune up for this car would call for replacement of the plugs, cap and rotor, and fuel and air filter. I would use the Bosch plugs, since they are free, after confirming that they are correct for the car. You can also look at the plug wires. A lot of what you do will depend on the car's last tune up date and how it is running. As far as brands, I usually stay with Delco as I like to keep my Vette original.
