with much of the above and add that it's not likely youll be able Match any combo without knowing what pistons you have and how deep in the hole they are. Got to have a reasonable idea of where the compression will be, to match any of the other upgrade parts. Its a essential key to at least getting in range with expectations. Dished pistons will take the potential right out of the best heads, because the Compression ratio wont be there in spite Of 64cc Chambers.
Maybe 58cc fastburn heads(theyre Vortec @ $1200) and a thin head gasket will help to get the CR and HP UP. That is if changing pistons ,if theyre deep dished, is not in the plan.
id say go edelbrock top end kit and call it a day..
Thats what I said!!! But I guess people ignore me! You'll achieve more than 400 HP easily and boost your CR to about 9.5:1... It has a great sounding cam that might be a little to much for some people. It also has an excellent RPM range. Edelbrock's Performer RPM will turn more than 7500 RPM and still produce a good amount of power!!! IMO opinion it is one of the greatest engine packages out there! I went to funfest Fri & Sat... I did not hear one car including the new Z06 that sounds as near as healthy or good as this engine package.
I was looking at about 400hp & came up with plan B, which was to use AFR180 heads. I figure that they flow as well as other 195 heads (so the figures say) at the lifts I'm using, so why not use a smaller port and increase the low end torque, making it a better street driver?
Does that make sense?
Are flow numbers for these heads available? Also, how is the quality of the valve stem seals? I am also in the market for heads, and these are very tempting. My current 'A' plan are a set of 170cc Edelbrocks, but these would save me $400.
Those Summit heads look like the ones that a previous forum member Page62 got (same as Dart, or somebodies, heads???). If he's still around it would be worth asking him for details on them; he was very happy with them.

Correct the same as Dart Iron Eagle heads. Just look up Page62 and summit and you will get a bunch of info. Everything I read was a good report on them. If it was not good I would not have mentioned it.
Or even send a PM to Page62 as he is still on the forum and active.
I called Summit tech support and they confirmed the heads are Iron Eagle S/S. I was suspicious because the specs don't match the specific model Dart lists on their website, but the Summit guy says they are in fact 67cc chamber with 2.02/1.60 valves.
Unbelievable deal. I think I will give them a try.
I have the AFRs (64cc 220s) and am very happy with them. 383 with 11:1 and a healthy cam it's well over 500hp, but does spin to 6500rpm which is probably more than your short block is going to be happy with for any length of time.
But, keep in mind the exhaust port height is higher with the AFRs so could cause some greif (it did for me). We also found the intake did not quite site right and had to be milled. Not sure if that was the intake or the heads.
you have the setup I was gonna shoot for. 383 forged assembly afr 220's w64CC, I was planning on the air gap manifold and a demon carb, what do you have for manifold, also bump stick...still not sure on that. I'm trying for close to 600hp but preferably low-mid range peak torque..

I would not steer you wrong. . For a mild build I feel they are very hard to beat for the price. I also know that if you were to rebuild an old set of Chevy Heads it would be a waste of money when you can purchase these as the original heads would tend to crack between the valves in the 2.02 1.60 valve heads. Along with this you have a better design head both in the runners and the combustion chambers.
