They are designed around Drag racing. I do not think they are designed for the side loads that you may encounter in other forms of racing. They are light though.
At that price you should check out some Real Racing Wheels; they're designed for road racing. They don't look quite as cool but they're super light and a great deal for three piece wheels.
i didn't see the weight listed, $360 a piece is alot of dough for a wheel that looks so so. they better weigh like five pounds each and be super strong for that price .
serisously though, do you have the listed weights? it might be worth it, i havn't researched wheels for mine just yet so i wouldn't really know.
I have the old version of these wheels (Drag Stars I think they were called 20 years ago). They are one piece and don't have the bolts holding them together.
They are fine for the street with typical 15" street tires or drag tires. They are not approprate for a car that is built for cornering and used as such.
I do like the way they look as they are the same era as the car. But of each to their own. I think you can get the 1 piece versions MUCH cheaper, but don't know that you would have the same size selections.
I'm planning on flaring my fenders this winter and will go with Keiser racing wheels when I do. I'd make you a deal on my wheels, but they are not the same width.
BTW, you do need a spacer to get these to clear the caliper.
I'd have to double check, but I think I'm down to 9mm spacers (.354"). These clear, but just. Did have off the shelf spacers that were thicker, but they were crap.
There is a guy on ebay that makes spacers in 3mm increments and will make them hub centric, stud centric, or both. Mine are both. Price is comparable with crap cast aluminum one size fits everything ones that can be found at most places.
I also installed longer studs which should have been done when the wheels were installed.
