I have a 427 with a 6-71 GMC blower and I need to get new spark plug wires. I have a set of Taylor 8mm on it now but reading in the summit catalog, there is lot of talk about ohms of resistance. The ones I have on there now say 1500 ohms per foor where others go all the way down to 20 ohms per foot. I am going to assume the lower the number, the better because in most cases, the price reflects that.
However, I have no idea what difference that will make but I just need to know, what is a good set of spark plug wires to use for this application? I have not taken the car to the track , someday, but for now I just drive it on the street. I do have a stereo in the car too but it has not been turned on yet either. I am more concerned about a set that works good for the motor and not so much about RFI- if that is going to make a difference.
