Default 76 Eelectric Windows

The electric windows on my 76 recently quit working when the ignition is in the start position or the motor is running.

However, they do work in the "ACC" position. This is the reverse of how they are supposed to work.

Any ideas?
Thanks

They should work in ACC or RUN. Take a look at youe ignition switch, its on the steering column behind the dash, might be full of dirt or coming apart

I would take a look at the Ign switch, thats where it crosses up. The switch is a slide type and they come apart and get crud in them

There's a relay that is mounted under the center console in front of the shifter... sorta under the radio. I'm not sure but I guess that could be a possibility. Maybe DWncchs will chime in, he helped me out on some f my window issues...

It could possibly be a bad ground
as for the relay under the radio it usually works or it doesn't
