Here is a close up of Kumho 255/245/17. I have 9x17 inch front centerline wheels with 4.0 bs. My original front centerlines were 9.5X 17 with 4.5 bs

Default Why not bigger?

Any reason not to go 18 x 19? The rears would be 27.7", is that too tall? I hate to give up any GC that I don't have to.

yeah...as soon as you go to a 19" rim the price of tires doubles instantly because of supply & demand. A ton of cars run use a 17/17 or 17/18 or 18/18 combo so tire selection among brands is good and prices have to be more competitive. Once you get to 19" rims there are a lot less cars running this size (but growing in numbers) and so the 19" tires cost a fortune. I think 20" tires are actually cheaper than 19" last time I looked 6 months ago because there was more selection for 20" tires on tire rack.

Shoot 18" tires usually cost $50 more per tire over 17". 19 and 20 are usually 2 - 3x as much as 17"... I really see no performance gain in going that big, either.

I think it gives the c3 a modern look You will need to lower it a bit to get the fender gaps right. Keep your 15 inch rims and put them back on when you get bored of the look.

I'm also part of the 17/18 club. I went that route for a few reasons. 18's look too big on the front, 17's too small on the back, I wanted stock C5 sizes, but mostly because I think the staggered look accents the shape of the body.

Default Now Drop and Give me 2".

I love the stance of 17 x 18. I'm a little concerned about a 25" tire on the front. Especially after I drop the nose 2" the rear maybe less. The gap in front looks bigger. For as much time/money we put in, it has to look right.

I have those same tires and I love them. Quiet enough, sticky enough and cheap enough for me.

Mine deffinitely needs to be lowered. Ever since I took all the weight off, it sits high and I just haven't had the time to drop it.

Rotate the tires?? Are you kidding me. If the rears last me 5K miles I'd be lucky.
Gordon, is your mono-leaf stock or did you need to shorten it any, for the 18x10's?
