Default Alternator Date Code

I'm being told that this Alternator came off of a Corvette year 68-82 with a date code of 1102394. How would I find out which year vette this came off of and whether it even came from a Vette?

That alternator is the correct number for a 37 amp installed on Corvettes 1975 through 1979 on L-48 engines. The date code is stamped on the alternator near the adjusting brace. The first digit is the last digit of the calendar year follow by the month letter code ending with the numeric day. The month codes A through H are Jan through Aug and J through M are Sep through Dec.
