I'm gonna be building my 350 for the Corvette soon but I have a question in regards to vacuum. I'm concerned that my combo may not produce enough throughout the range for the headlights. Here's what I'm doing-
Jegs Aluminum 64 cc head 197 cc runners
10.3 - 1 static comp ratio
8.27 - 1 dynamic comp ratio
Standard stroke Scat Forged and lightened crankshaft
Dual plane intake (prob Edelbrock).
Any thoughts as to the vacuum? I want to be sure that my headlights will work ok.
No problem with vacuum. I run a cam with 252/260 @ .050 and it has plenty of vacuum to run the headlights. 230/236 is not a lot of duration. Your vacuum at idle should be fine. I run about 8 to 9 inches at 1000 rpm and it raises the lights fine.
