My Vettes tag is Garys81 so it worked for me. On vette chat I think I went by Garys90 my other vette and its tag. The 90 has since been sold, and the search is on for a C5.

Would sure like to be GarysBB :D ..........Ahhhh...maybe if the perfect chrome bumper and me cross paths.....I'll put that C5 on hold. :yesnod:

I love the shark body style. I would prefer either a 69 or an 80 but I'm not complaining. One day, I will have more than just one vette (but they won't all be sharks).

Mines fairly obvious as well. I used to be "86 Z-51" on here, but I didn't end up buying that car and got the 73 instead. My stepfather still owns the 86 Z-51, but he likes mine better :D

I get both asked and hammered about my handle all the time, I'll try to keep it short. Back in the days when our vettes were sitting in showrooms, I wrenched in a Caddy dealer. A salesman pulled this spankin new Eldo into my bay one eve, (with the nastiest soundin death rattle) wanting to deliver it shortly. I laughed, telling him to deliver another one, as this car wasn't leaving my bay. While we argued, the service manager slid into the car and cracked the throttle to about 5k. BOOM, it let go! Rods thru the block and oil pan, sending a gush of oil up the salemans sox, and shrapnel bouncing off the floor, sending the salesman into a quick 2-step dance before he wound up on his ace! As the guys in the shop roared with laughter, I yelled out "RODNOCK!" The name stuck...

If you ever read a book called "hitchiker's guide to the galaxy" it should explain everything. :)

Mine was a F'up !!

I wanted RCRacer -- the same as my rear plates. When I put in a user name, I thought it was just to login to my account with. I thought I would pick a nickname later.
When I first started on the forum (204 days ago) I thought I would just be passing through. I needed info. on a power steering problem and was going to be leaving after that.

Boy was I wrong !! I stayed around, ended up resurecting the Red Hot Vettes and am taking care of the RHV club webpage.

I should have changed long ago, but did not want to give up my post count. That and everyone that knows me knows me as "BSeery" -- or "that guy with Red Hot Vettes."

I have another login as RedHotVettes that I use every once and a while, but not much.

I will stay BSeery for some time now. Maybe when I hit 10,000 posts I will ask the mods. to change my name to RCRacer or RedHotVettes or RHV.

Probably not.................:D

When I first got on the Forum, I was still looking for a vette. So, I picked a name I'd never forget. Not only is it the year of my dad's vette (see pics below), but it is also the year my parents were married.

Difficult to explain!
I was going to use IncontinentiaButtocks as my handle, but decided against it as I couldn't be bothered with the extra typing & because I didn't think I'd ever get a serious answer to any posts :)

Get stories.... :) :) :)

Who would have thought all of this would become so addicting? I was like Bryan. Just surfing the net looking at Vette pages. I found this place, and within two weeks I bought my Vette. You people are such a bad influence on non-Vette owners :D :D :D

Wow...with all those vette related nicks I feel like a stranger. :) Well mine didn't come from my car....actually I got it 7 years ago. Back then the internet was not even popular and I was chatting a lot on IRC (Internet Relay Chat). Since I like medieval stuff I started out with the nick Warlock...As the internet grew bigger, more people started using IRC and some people were taking my nick...instead of fighting I changed it to Archmage (ya can see a trend here) Which was taken later on...by then I was kind of pissed of since everyone I knew were used to my previous nicks. So I decided to invent one...I figured it wasn't likely that someone would invent the same nick... So here I am. Been using that nick all over the place and still am unique. ;)
