Default Headlight Switch Bezel Replacement

Hello, can anyone please convey the secret to replacing the headlight switch bezel? Does one need to get up in the dash behind the switch? Thanks for any information. Alex

You will need to get under the dash and push the button on the back side of the switch to release the ****.

Once you push this button in, turn the switch to the dome lamp on position and you should be able to pull the switch **** out. Once you do this you can remove the nut from the switch and replace the bezel. Reverse these instructions to install.

Alex,

You can cheat on this too! If you remove the three screws from the door jamb holding the dash pad, then remove the three from the top of the lower pad to the upper pad you can access the switch.

Be careful and do not pull to hard! If you do you will break the dash speedo bezel plastic housings or the dash pad. If you don’t feel comfortable doing it this way then you can either remove the upper pad for access. There is a detailed instruction sheet on this posted under repair help on our web site.

I just did this a few days ago, just keep saying "this will cost x amount if it breaks" and you'll be fine.

I don't know if this is always true but I found it worked best to pull the **** all the way out till it stops (headlight on position), push the button in, and then pull the **** the rest of the way out. If I tried to push the button in first before trying to pull the **** from the off position it would bind. May just of been my switch but something to consider if the **** seems to bind.
