the going rate for a zz383(425bhp) long block, is about 5000$, =£2500 + tax/shipping comes out around £3500, just need a intake, carb and water pump, I just brought a rpm airgap and a holley 750 vac sec
so this does seem like, the cheapest way for more power
also the zz383 comes with a mild cam so they claim, so still room for improvement

Why not go to the 572? If it's big you want, then....they don't come any bigger. As prevously stated; there is no replacement for displacement.
I'm going the 383 stroker route with my mobile money pit. Weight, fuel economy, drivability, cost etc. are factors to consider.

why dont more people just add a super charger/turbo, to get more power??, a 383 with blower seems like a nice idea!
