Default 1969 Correct Intake Manifold?

Does a 1969 Vette with a 300hp engine use the 3799349 cast iron manifold with an AFB? Also, does anyone have a photo of the original stock setyp? Any help will be appreciated.

Almost every 4-bbl engine produced by GM from 1966 thru the early 1980's had a Quadrajet carb on it. The only exceptions are the few "high performance" engines that were marketed with Holleys.

1969 300hp and 350hp uses the 3927184 iron manifold with Quadrajet.

Thanks, Frank. And there is no oil filler tube on the front of the engine, correct? Might you have a photo of the engine fron the front end as opposed to the distributor side?

Default Stock Appearing Resto

I placed a photo below of the intake just removed from the unit. The number posted above (#3927184 Cast Iron w/Q-jet) is the one on this intake as well!

Have a resto in for some cubic-inch/HP increase but maintaining a 100% stock appearance!

There is a "flat" surface cast into the front where the oil fill tube was originally located!

Thanks, Gary in N.Y.

P.S. These intakes actually work fairly well for add'l cubic inch builds with the Q-jet's! We have some stock-appearing 355's at 365 HP with a 9.75 C.R.

68 was the last year for the Oil fill tube after that the casting for one was still there but not used

Depending on what your trying to accomplish I'd pass on the '69 manifold as they need a special 3-layer carb base gasket.
