L82 shark and dobroman 2001 thanks for your input the headlight diagram was exactly what i wa looking for, the ones ive seen were evidently of earlier models the one you provided was it. thanks again on the other hand the corvette mag. article i saw already but not what i was looking for. A clearer layout would be nice. the price you pay not being in the click i guess. I called Dr. Rebuild and ordered a few things thanks for the info on them didnt know about them. man he doesnt like ZIP does he. I dont have alot of cash on hand to buy manuals and the like or i would have in the beginning iam trying to do this and raise a family on a shoestring since my wife passed away and my house burning to the ground iam very lucky to still have my cars. again sorry to be such a pain in the
If your car has been stripped you will need at the very least a couple of manuals. Ignore the people who keep telling you to get a 78 wiring diagram at Doc's, as stated earlier in the thread, he has not made one yet! No more snipe hunts

In order to recreate what was there, you will need a "1978 Corvette Shop Manual". These are published by GM and are still available (used)at places like Ebay and Amazon. I have heard some public libraries have them. This manual will have (for example), the HVAC system wiring and vacuum diagram broken out and how it works. It will also have a complete wiring diagram.

The other manual is a an AIM, Assembly Instruction Manual. These are available at parts vendors and Ebay, etc. They will identify the part number and placement of various relays and switches you will need. All assemblies for the car are shown in detailed exploded views.

Between the two of these manuals, you should have a lot of information about what goes where in your car. I sure wouldn't want to work on one without them. Good luck with your project.

I know this is a diagram for a '77, and they changed a few things in '78, but maybe it'll help a little until you can get a page from a '78 manual.

I have a 1978 that had been raped of most parts, finally got everything back together except the power door lock actuators and wiring to them is there such a thing as a guide on this as to what, where, how to add them back in there.
The power locks in mine have been somewhat working since I first bought my Corvette back in 95'.

The electrical schematics all show the proper wiring 'route' and colors of the wires involved. Most electrical problems happen at the connections.

When I last researched mine, I believe I was told by a local parts store (not one of the big box stores) that the solenoid from any GM car that had electric lock is interchangable. But I don't know if your problem is mechanical (the solenoid) or electrical. (Mine is a bad solenoid)

It's way down on my to do list. I can reach the passenger door lock when my wife gets out.

Nobody's 'not answering' your issue, but your issue needs a little more research (mech/elec) for anyone to answer it.

Link to the 1982 GM parts and illustration manual. You can print off the pages you need. I printed the whole book and stuck in a binder. It has diagrams, GM part #'s and info on the parts but it doesnt tell you how to put it together.
