I was lucky emough to find the build sheet for my 73 L-82, but for some reason box#4 does not have the engine block number on it nor box#5 for the transmission number on it. Does anyone know why this would be like that? THX.
I was able to get my build sheet off the tank when I had it down for maintenance. I had to make photo copies due to it's fragility . I am afraid to handle it. Boxes 4 (CKZ) and 5 (WO or WC) were filled in.
Build sheets in a lot of cases are found on the top of the gas tank. However, they have been known to be found anywhere. I bought my '76 new and despite many years of working on the car, I have been unable to locate it.
I took my car to Corvette Barn for wheel alignment, when I picked up the car the the told me the found the build sheet jamed in above the rear end.
76K miles 28 years, it was stained, burned were it was close to the exhault pipe and oily.
I would like to know were I could send a copy to have it decifered? We can see that the zip code of the dealer was 13057, East Syracuse Chevy in E. Syr. I have called them severial time for information and have had "0" responce from them, not even a return call.
