Hi all, I have two new acuators for my 75 came with the car. according to the manuals it does not look to hard only time consuming. None of them say weather to put lights upto start or leave them down? Anybody
done this before? I figure i will start there. My lights work like my brother-in-law sometimes. I got some time to work on it like, three more months up here in the north east. thanks Johnny R

I havent tackled this problem. But, I dont think it matters. I would try to find the position where are the connectors are easiest to get too.

JR,
I believe having the lights UP gives you the most room to work from the bottom. I also believe it's just the 4 nuts on the actuator and the clevis pin on the rod that need to come off to get the actuator out. Having a factory Assembly Manual would be a help on this job.
Regards,
Alan

Default Additional Tip...

The last time I did this job, I left the hood closed and then disconnected the actuators. Lay the actuators in the nose area, and then open the hood to remove them from the top. I also wrap them in an old towel to keep from scratching the paint on the hood as I remove them.

With the hood closed there is more room to maneuver the actuators in the nose cavity while you're disconnecting them. I can't recall now if I did both at the same time or one at a time.

Good luck... GUSTO
