Starter bolts for mini

Starter bolts for mini
Need some that are 3/8 x approx 4.5" (measuring from tip to tip). I have some that are 5" and just a little too long, dont wanna mickey things with washers or use a non knurled/shouldered bolt..
Ministarter for 350...Ive bought every stinkin bolt in town and none fit.
Of course Kragen comes to the rescue, they looked a little off and they insist they are right, so $10 later I get home to find out these are metric and wont even fit through the starter block. I now have over a half dozen new starter bolts that dont fit.
Anyone?
