My wipers do work but are sometimes slow to start and I need to move switch around to make it work. Does the switch need replacing or could it be relay problem. The complete wiper switch with delay seems hard to find. Any help would be appreciated.
I have the same problem. Can't find one either. Everynow and then one shows up on ebay but it looks like it is worse shape than mine. Several of the vendors advertise them but I have ordered it online exactly 11 times from 11 different vendors and eventually they call and say it was discontinued and refund my money. If you find a source, tell them you want two, I still need one, so let me know.
You got lucky, I checked with two dealers and they both said it was discontinued Oct 07. No dealer stock sitting around that they could locate. I havent been able to find it aftermarket either, everyone shows it but no one has it.
Thats not the part for the delay wiper (in the storage compartment) is it? GM shows that as a controller around $60. The controller with pulse is part 14016250 and discontinued.
So did you install part 14029570 and get things to work? Do you have the pulse option?
switch on the dash. We did find another vendor who I called and he said he had six in stock so I ordered it over the phone from him right then. Today I get an email saying they are out of stock!!!!!! This is so much BS!!!!

Can't do it right now. Running out. I will find one for you. do you have pulse wipers?
i had similair problems but i have 'pulse' wiper or a delay option. turns out my pulse module went, which are discontinued. i hard wired my switch just for low and high which fixed my problems
on my '79 mine took alot of playing with the switch to finally get the wipers going, finally i bought a wiper switch w/delay which mine had and when i got it, it had china written on it, it all worked when i initially put it in, now the delay has stopped. I didn't return it because this little ordeal calls for pulling the dash. too much work just to have a delay which i rarely use anyway.
i would assume its your switch as your symptoms sound same as mine. i think my t-tops leaking casued my issue..goodluck
First of all, DO ANY OF YOU HAVE THE WIPER SWITCH WITHOUT DELAY? I was told my Vette was an early production and doesn't have that feature, my wiper lever just goes up and down, I don't have a **** that turns. I can't find the **** ANYWHERE and the "turn" **** won't work.
We only order Delco products if possible at our shop and I just checked stock on part # D6332A (the old # is 14029570, that may help some of you) and out of all 4 warehouses there are 0 in stock at $64.27. So it appears they are definately getting harder to find.
Doc Rebuild doesnt have them either. I did find one yesterday for a 150 bucks out of some vette place in CA. Its normally a 40 dollar part. Depends on how bad you want it I guess. Mine will do okay for now. There was a pulse wiper module for sale on Ebay for months by Corvette Mack. I dont know if its still there or not.

I just called Dr Rebuild...only switch they have is one without delay (#1014674--$110.00).
I like your option of hard wiring..(mine has delay)...think I may go that route when I determine what is wrong...
I had to buy one for my 79 earlier this month and got a delco one from J.B.'s Corvette Supplies. I dont know if he has any more. The phone number on my invoice is 914-403-3607.
My78 had the same problem last year, purchased a new one on e-bay with the intermittent, pulse, delay all that stuff paid $75.00 came in a GM box matched my old one exactly, installed it wipers work fine now. i still see them new on E-Bay

Mine is also non delay. I could only find the delay switch from NAPA.
I took mine apart and cleaned it, soldered it a bit and it's been working
for over a year now, AND I live in WASHINGTON STATE and drive my Vette year round. The wipers get alot of use
