Side Pipe Question
I am back on getting side pipes for my '81. I am leaning towards getting these
Hooker Super Competition Side Exhaust (headers and mufflers) for $1699 at Mid-America.
My question is how do they mount to the sides with the rocker panels

It has been many years since I installed a set but as I remember they had brackets that slipped into preexisting holes in the frame. Then the rocker covers had to be slightly trimmed to provide access to the bracket. Dont know if you are aware but many forum members recommend the headers coated by jet hot.
