Tire clearance
Anyone running 8 inch wheels on a 68 or 69 with 245/60R 15 tires ? I only have about 3/4 of an inch clearance at the rear of the front tires when I turn the wheels left or right but they don't seem to rub anywhere . What do you have for clearance on yours ?

I'm running 245/60R15 on 8" rims on my 68. The front left wheel rubs on the rear of the wheel when I turn full left - but I believe my left stop is broken. No such problem turning right. I think the 245's look soooo good. What tires do you have? Mine are Goodyear Eagle ST, I'm not sure if they still make them.

My front tires clear the fender lip by about an inch at the closest. I autocross my 68 and the tires haven't touched any part of the car, just an occasional cone
