I finally got my car pieced back together, but the blinkers no longer work, front or back. Brake lights work fine, but when i turn the blinker on, the brake light on that side no longer shines. I checked the fuse and it is good. I had some trouble with the steering wheel going back on, I could't remember the order of all the parts, so I think that could have something to do with it. Any help?
I have had and probably still do have this same problem. My blinkers will work flawlessly for a year or so and then one day they just stop. The last couple of times this happened I removed, inspected, and reinstalled my turn signal lights and light housings. After that they worked again. I always hate it when I fix something and still not sure what I did that fixed it. Good luck.
Do the signal lights just stay on steady, or not come on at all? Do both sides do the same thing? Could be a ground problem, if your signals effect your brake lights. Cheers

It's not your back bulbs if you have brake lights, the same filament also does your turn signals. Check front bulbs to start ruling things out, but I doubt both went at the same time.
I'd replace the turn signal gadget under the dash, it's a small round silver unit that plugs into the wiring.
Then check your sockets, are they corroded inside where the bulb makes contact.
If your wiring is still original it should be brittle and can break off a pigtail easily under your dash and be hard to spot. That's all I can offer, good luck.
What is the "turn signal gadget"? I was just in the dash and it very well could have been unpluged.
And just to make sure, I took the bulbs out of the blinker signals in the dash because i went to autometer gauges which have no place for blinker lights in the dash. This wouldn't cause them to not function would it?

No idea on your last question, but that could be the problem, is that when it started?
Here is what the part looks like that I called a "gadget", just can't think of the name of it right now (brain fogged up right now)
Should be UNDER your dash down near steering column
i had the same problem. when you turn the turn signal to the left the brake lights on that side go out. its your turn signal switch. i had to replace mine and that corrected the problem. i purchased my thru paragon they are suppose to be made in the usa. mine is a 68 vert.
good luck
