Flared fuel line fitting
I just finished bending a new fuel line from the pump to the carb. I'm replacing my Edelbrock with a Qjet. After reading Lars paper last fall on fuel lines, I made one for my Edelbrock and added a slick inline filter from Summit. I decided to use it again for this carb and boy did this new setup turn out pimp. Well, except for one slight problem. I single flared the fitting at the carb instead of double flared.
So my question is, will it work or do I have to bend another one so I can double flare the end?

Link to 2005 version of Lars fuel line paper Lars has always been great about responding to email question and requests. So you can always contact him for a current version if there is one.
As for my snafu....I'll probably just cut the single flare off and put the correct double flare on. If the upper section of tubing no longer fits, I'll just bend another. No biggie, in fact, I actually enjoy bending tubing.
Why not just do the second part of the double flare operation (assuming you have the manual type double flaring tool)...the first part is a single flare, so it should work.

Alan 71-I have the same bender that is pictured in Lars paper. I didn't go out looking to buy the same one he uses, it was just what they carried at Sears when I got there.
1981Z06Vette-I can't do that. I single flared the tubing. Double flaring requires pinching the tubing down with a fitting then hitting it with the flaring tool.
