I try and :seeya all the time. I'm sure a couple of Firebird owners were wonder why I was waving at them. It was getting dark out, yea it was getting dark that's it. :)
Spiru -- if we pass on the road, I'll be waving. I understand your point. Those of us who have been around for a while know the meaning and tradition of the wave. Most of us continue to practice it and try to pass it on to others. I will agree there now exists a generation of Corvette owners who do not know of the tradition and have no idea what the wave means. I first experienced this with C4 drivers (not that I am blaming them) and have found it to continue with some C5 owners. I suspect these folks were driving their first Corvettes, probably leased. They were/are interested only with the car and were/are not interested in the tradition and lore surrounding the marque. I feel a little sorry for them. They're missing half the fun.:)

That's exactly how I feel, and I'm not meaning to pit generations against each other that's not my point. A Corvette is a Corvette regardless of the year.
But with me, the Corvette was like a third brother, it was always a part of the family and I take all those traditions very seriously, that's just the way I was raised.
