damm demon carbs
a demon rep told me personnally that an engine with as much HP as mine has, could not use their choke. ( its a friggn 383 with heads and cam ) i already purchased it and it would not work properly.
now i see a 650 + hp engine being dropped into a superformance gt40 and guess what? the f'rs got a choke on the holley 4 brl. its sporting
demon is worthless. f'n barry grant

I have not used a carb with a choke in probably 15 years. My present demon is one of them.
All I ever do is fire it up and hold it on about 2000 rpm for about one minute when it's cold and then I go.
I never had good luck with both electric and thermal chokes in the past. they work for a few years and then dork up.
If you really look at performance carbs........ do you ever see a choke?

Didn't have room for the choke on my stroked 454 with the Demon and really haven't missed it. We get subzero weather here in Nebraska and like gkull, I just keep the revs up for a minute before heading out. One less thing to go wrong under the hood...
