Does Anyone Know How To, Or If You Can Weld The Pot Metal The Wiper Door Is Made Of?
I Need To Repair/install A New Tab Where One Of The Bolts Goes.
Pot metal is VERY hard to fix. I even had a welder try a repair and to be honest an epoxy held better. If the tab doesn't support any weight or bare pressure then epoxy might work.

about 12 years ago, I JB Welded a bolt in place on one of my tabs there on the pass side, been fine ....
I also cheated, in that using bolts with no shims on them, I slotted the bolt ends so to get a small screwdriver in the open ends and turn the bolt into the door tab, then I secure with a dap of black RTV so it don't back out....these are ordinary bolts about an inch long...sure the door is a bit loose on there, but it works fine for many years...
and i'ts even gone through the electrification process that Chris did...the linear motor/screw install....
George,
Try a call to Richard Fortier. 810-750-1472. He advertises in the NCRS DRIVELINE and says he can repair most metals. He started Paragon Reproductions many years ago. Worth a call?
Regards,
Alan
JB Weld epoxy or putty-stick type that you knead will work. You may have to drill some shallow holes for the expoy to "bite" into so the repair will not come loose.
