I tried to label what I could remember/see. I'll have to look at the original pic.

I "finished" it NEXT week, when I fix a little annoying leak.

Huge *****? You been talking to my wife again? :D

Here's the same thing from another angle:

My wife said "I can't imagine you ever getting this back together"

You can get a corvette for cheap...but the real money is keeping it running like it should(unless it's rhys who spends $$$ restoring his PC so it's perfect :jester). Best of luck to you.

Well, then you're primarily looking for a car that is mechanically sound. The achilles heal of these cars (as far as I'm concerned) is the rear end. If you can find one that has had the rear trailing arms and differential rebuilt somewhat recently, those are costly things that are nice to not have to worry about for awhile. Also, make sure the frame is in good condition. The nice thing about 78's are that they are not computer controlled but are HEI, so they are relatively simple from an engine standpoint and easy to do your own work on. Good luck. Glad we didn't scare you off with that picture of Rhys' car. You should see his car now. BEEEEEEautiful.

Kay then, dude, you get the award for having your car having matching numbers and being the least original! :)
I'll get the award for having the most original car with a replacement engine, transmission that wasn't even offered in 78, and paint that isn't -quite- correct. I'll also take the award for most original Pace Car with Xenon headlamps. :p:
Sorry if I didn't do a frame off -restoration-. I thought we had the discussion of restoring versus restomodding before, didn't we?
No major loss, your vette is still pretty, mine still needs a lot of work. Though I plan on making my vette even less original in the future, it won't be "totally unoriginal" until I do a frame-off restoration, right?
That's what I seem to understand.

hahaha, i haven't been watching this post, lol. I have never seen those pics before rhys... As for my comment on you wanting everything original, that was from just seeing your replys to what other people have done to their vettes. That one post about when the guy detailed his engine compartment. You found the smallest thing and picked on it. Like I said, there is nothing wrong with being a perfectionist tho  . I need to see your car sometime soon... It is so strange that we live so close and have never met before... oh well, sometime soon I hope :smash:

Pacin'. No way. Yours hasn't been touched except for like 5 things!
That is a GOOD thing. You have a very nice Pace and should be proud of it, regardless of what has been modified. ESPECIALLY for a daily driver!

Jeez, didn't mean to start a pssing match. I mearly saw an opportunity to post a very funny pic. Ya GOTTA look at that pic and say to yourself "WTF is that"? As for my comment in response to Roy, I think there is a difference between a perfectionist and a stickler for originality. A perfectionist just wants everything perfect, whether it original or modified. However, ask a perfectionist a question about originality and he/she will pick out the slightest thing that is incorrect. That's just in the nature of a perfectionist, if you want originality, it better be perfect originality. There's no doubt in my mind that Rhys is a perfectionist when it comes to Vettes.

Pacin: Again, didn't mean to flame anybody, I just thought it was a funny pic.

Eh, sorry guys. :) I haven't driven my 'vette in three days, so I'm kinda moody. You better be glad I don't live in a place where it snows! Otherwise you'd have a very moody 18-year old on your hands.
