1978 pace car

You might be able to find one that was driven alot with new paint and a different engine for quite a bit less. Rhys can be a bit critical that everything is original from what I have seen. :smash: :smash: Not that there is anything wrong with that dude

15k to almost 30k is what I consider the appropriate range. 15 k is a driver that really doesn't need anything (L48). 30k being a top flight L82 4 speed.

I've seen Rhys' Vette, and although I can tell you that it is an AWESOME looking 78 PC, I can also tell you that he's not that much of a stickler for originality. It LOOKS original but remember, he's the one who was going to chuck his Quadrabog for a Demon or Holley but the forum convinced him to hold on to the Q-jet (:cry I was hoping to be the beneficiary of his refuse). He's already installed true dual exhaust, and has plans to pull the L48 and replace with a more potent engine. As he's just completing a frame off restoration on his PC and works with a company that deals in Corvettes, I think he's a pretty good resource on this.
Here is the non original (actual) list: in addition to above: carpet, seats, center console, both gauge bezels, clock, master cylinder, entire suspension system, radiator, all brake lines, dash board, windshield, front bumper cover, A/C system....
How's that for original? :bb
New radio, speakers, engine, transmission(700R4), bilstein shocks, rear sway bar (originally not gymkhana), tops.
And I love it more than any other car on the road!

Of course, in that photo, it doesn't have my new transmission or the USA-1 front plate, but can you really tell?
