Dont circle track motors see the same RPMs with cast and or hyper pistons?

For a cam you may want to talk with Bullet cams about some of the Ultra Dyne lobe patterns they now own, they are quite good performers and great on parts wear. I have run a U-D 276/284 in my 355 cu/in motor with very good results (0.050 is 243/251 0.582 lift on 110 lobe seperation.) The U-D is a VERY STRONG runner from 2200 to 7400 RPM with some small port 230CFM heads on the motor.
I have been eyeing the SRS series of Probe pistons. Seems reasonably priced.
I just wish I had more low expansion aluminum options.
Didnt the XE line of cams get designed by the same guy? I am waiting to see what Cammotion tells me.
Circle track motors are torn down, checked and freshened up on a regular basis. An LS7 has hyper pistons, fuel injection and computerized timing, A/F is perfect at all rpm and anti knock sensors and automatic retard is part of the package. Different animal than a caburated 350 with a distributor. LS7 also has a 7000 RPM redline with a hydraulic roller cam! Just seems like the motor you are talking about has all top quality parts with cheap pistons. Build the bottom end stronger than you think you need. Weakest part always fails and if you plan on running 4000 to 7200 RPM on a regular basis your failure will be those hyper pistons. Your original post said easy on parts. 7200 RPM isn't easy on parts no matter what they are.
The LS series engine also has a much bigger base circle, much higher rocker ratios, and I believe titanium valves in the LS7.
If you have a super duper crank, billit rods, you can't use cast pistons
it just looks bad don't tell anyone there in there with forged pistons there is no worry.
Titanium valves are only $1600.00 a set if you use them you can get your
hydraulic roller to rev 7000 RPM long term. Lets see $800.00 for the hydrauilc
roller set up + $1600.00 for the valves $2400.00 or you can spend $200.00
for a solid tappit cam spin it 8000 rpm if you like no fancy valves needed, simple device just a solid chunk of metal for a lifter, chevy, ford, chrysler made them run for lots a miles trouble free. Hell for $70,000.00 or more chevy will throw in a really nice car and titanium valves all in the same deal.

Suitable for high performance street and all forms of racing!
Probe SRS Forged Pistons are designed for performance and race applications where a strong, lightweight forged piston is an advantage. With well over 200 part numbers now in stock for popular Chevrolet, Ford, Chrysler, and Import applications, these full-featured pistons are extremely popular for use in street and most racing combinations.
Forged of 2618 t-61 Aluminum alloy for the ultimate strength and fatigue resistance.
Light weight forging designs for quick revs and power.
Tight piston to wall clearance design for better ring seal.
Fully CNC machined domes and valve reliefs for perfect fit.
Radial Anti Detonation Grooves reduce detonation by clipping pressure spikes.
Pressure Equalization Channel enhances ring seal, making more power and increasing fuel economy.
Full floated lightweight wrist pins and double spiro locks for durability.
Narrow piston rings for the ultimate in power.
