Front brakes

Recently installed rebuilt calipers all around (1970). As I installed the fronts, I noticed that that outboard side pistons are compressed vs the inboard. It's not to the point that the rotor won't spin. I would think that caliper would be centered over the rotor.

Are you certain you have correct front rotors on your car? The fronts and rears are different.

Also, the calipers are different as well. Are you certain they are front calipers?

I didnt check them, I just took them out of the box, each one was labeled. Just assumed there labeled corecctly.

The calipers were installed correct. I measure between the caliper housing and the Disc pad backing plate. Inboard @.150 Outboard @ .070.

Okay, that's good. Also, did you secure the rotor tight against the hub with two lug nuts? Make sure it's hard up against the hub and fully seated over that lip. That's when you can see for sure the caliper's position over the rotor.
