Default thermo fan speed

i have just wired my thermo fans to a manual switch on my dash.

* i ran power from the alternator to a relay.
* between the relay and the fan i put in a 25amp in line fuse.
* i grounded fan to an earth post on alternator.
* i grounded the earth from relay to alternator as well.
* the switch i grounded to steering stem.

the thing is my fan speed increases with motor speed??? i dont know if this should happen or is that just the way it is when getting power from the alternator???? with the way c3,s are with the battery in the back its too far to get power from there.

Sounds like your alternator is not large enough. You need to upgrade to at least 100A with electric fans
